BLOSSOMING RESILIENCE

These pieces offers a glimpse into my intuitive process, where color, texture, and form come together in an unplanned, organic flow. It reflects the cycles of life, the constant interplay of strength and vulnerability, and the beauty of new beginnings.

FRAGMENTS OF MEMORY

My art is a reflection of random images of meaningful moments I have experienced.

INTO THE LIGHT

"Come forth into the light of things, let Nature be your teacher."  - William Wordsworth

The Into the Light Series icelebrate the beauty and complexity of our world, while encouraging deeper reflection on the fragility of the natural environment. These works explore the connection between nature and the human spirit, and are an invitation to embrace the power of light.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER

While waiting for my larger paintings to dry, I came across an article discussing how bird watching can aid individuals during challenging times. The Birds of a Feather art series was inspired by the Covid-19 pandemic. In these pieces, I combine my passion for birds, watercolor painting, and collage, exploring the beauty of birds and the comfort, joy, and hope they provide in difficult moments.

RE-IMAGINING HISTORY - 2019/2020

These paintings are inspired by the past, present, and future.

I created works of art that are a combination of vintage and modern aesthetics, allowing viewers to explore the tensions between the two. This series focuses on the exploration of identity and how it changes over time.

I use mixed media techniques to explore the dichotomy between new and old, often over-layering images from vintage magazines and photographs with current images or paintings. By combining these elements, I create new narratives and reimagine history.

DREAMS ABOUT TOMORROW, HOPES FOR TODAY

As Robert H. Goddard said, "It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow."

MORE IS MORE

We live in a consumer culture and shopping has become a crucial ritual for shaping our identities.

ASSIMILATION

This series creatively delves into the theme of assimilation. Through these paintings, I aimed to express the intricacies of adjusting to a new culture and environment. The artworks mirror my own journey of cultural adaptation and the emotions tied to it. Utilizing color, I to illustrate the depth of feelings that arise during this transition. Ultimately, it stands as a vibrant testament to the influence of assimilation and the beauty found in embracing change.

NEW BEGINNINGS

After immigrating to the United States in 2016, I decided to take a leap of faith and make art my full time career. This series reflects my journey of coming to America, the emotions of starting a new life, and the freedom I found to create art.

As I capture the beauty of letting go, I also explore the joy of embracing a new beginning and all the possibilities that come with it.
